July 21 Bergen- one last glimpse

Last breakfast in Bergen - for now!  I decided on more local fare. Pickled herrings and mustard dill on the side, vegetables, crisp breads plus sour dough bread straight out of the oven slathered with butter and scrumptious berry jam - yes I always have butter with my jam (and cream as well if possible!). We got a table outside because it was a bit cool this morning and everyone chose to be inside; it was heavenly after our over heated room.

I’ve already started a list for our next visit to Bergen - the funicular takes you up the mountain of Fløyen (320 m above sea level). And St Mary’s church the building of which in the 1130s or 1140s and completed around 1180. It is the oldest remaining building in the whole city of Bergen (sorry no pix).
